Sauti ya Africa is a pop operatic trio based in East Africa.
It is comprised of three trained singers, George Ssemaganda a high baritone, Francis Mutesasira a baritone, and Benjamin Katumba a bass baritone. The group artistry has root in classic opera music, gospel music, Afro pop music and accapella . They all Dip ABRSM in singing from the Royal Schools of Music UK.
Sauti ya Africa have had successful concerts in Nairobi, Kigali, Cape Town, Kampala, Dubai and recently London at the Guild Hall where they performed for distinguished world business leaders such as Lady Rothschild, Rokerfella, Gen. Obasanjo, Bill Clinton and Prince Charles to mention but a few.
Sauti ya Africa were recently crowned winners of the Common Wealth Music competition and have taken up their role as Music ambassadors to common wealth.
Back home in Uganda they have performed for the President, the Kabaka and for the Ambassadors of U.S, Netherlands, Italy, France and German.
Sauti ya Africa recently launched their maiden Album United which has been made popular by songs such as United, Hallelujah and Mama, their music transcends all age groups from school child to grannies. The versatility of these fine musicians cannot be disputed as they have added local hits such as Amaalo, Alumwa alumwe and Wantamiiza to their collection.
The group performs at various functions ranging from corporate events to private weddings.
