Winnie Mandela died at the age of 81 years old. Winnie is well known for her struggle during the time of apartheid, when South Africa was divided among skin colors. Winnie became a voice of women and they had the courage to stand up for their human rights and speak up for what is rightfully theirs.
Winnie Mandela was married to the founder president of the republic of South Africa during the time president Nelson Mandela was held in Robben Island for 25 years. For some reasons the president separated with Winnie and married someone else.
Winnie has always remained close at heart to the founder president until his last hour of breath. Her strong spirit has carried her through the tough times and because of her, women are now able to have a voice.
Winnie will always remain our hero and may her soul rest in perfect peace.
